My latest collection of oil paintings pay homage to the resilient spirit of Cuba, its revolutionary heroes, and the enduring values that they stand for. Central to this series are heartfelt portrayals of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, whose revolutionary journeys continue to inspire me deeply.
A reflection of inspiration.
Cuba’s historic fight against imperialist powers, particularly the United States, exemplifies resilience and courage. Despite relentless sanctions, economic hardships, and political pressure, the Cuban people have remained steadfast – showing love, empathy and a relentless pursuit of justice. Their compassion extends beyond borders, exemplified by sending Doctors to Italy during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, and deploying armies to assist in South Africa’s fight against apartheid during the Angolan war.

My paintings capture not only the figures of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro but also the broader narrative of revolution, hope and human solidarity. The paintings aim to evoke admiration for a nation that, despite all odds, champions humanity and justice.
