“Tawhid”

Original Oil Painting

Oil On Canvas

60cm X 80cm

Created 2022

I met Tawhid In Koraibari, a river island (char) in Gaibandha district in May 2022. I was invited by www.friendship.ngo to see how they were working with the local community to help those with disabilities.

Tawhid was born with cerebral palsy, developed locomotor disability and was unable to stand.

Tawhid’s parents had lost hope for his future, until Friendship’s physiotherapists began therapy in his home, visiting every two weeks and prescribing exercises. Tawhid showed incredible improvement in a short time—first learning to stand, and then to walk. His determination and spirit were inspirational.

All proceeds of the painting will go to www.friendship.ngo.

“Tawhid” is also available as a signed limited edition print, please see the “Bangladesh and Climate Change” series on the limited edition print section of the website.
