“30155” was exhibited at Southampton Art Gallery in 2019

“30155” is an oil painting of Scott a homeless man that I met in London in 2018. I spoke to him as he sat in a shop door way drawing a picture for his girlfriend who was asleep next to him. I added the tattoo “30155” to his forehead in the painting as I wanted to show how humanity had not really progressed from the dark days of World War 2 concentration camps to the homeless situation now where people are seen as a number rather than a person and where people are judged on a black or white basis, good or bad, different or normal.
