“The Magic Door” holds profound personal meaning to me, it is inspired by my journey of overcoming childhood trauma and navigating mental health challenges. As a child, art was my refuge- a sanctuary where I found calm amid chaos. I saw mountains and nature as a safe haven, a place where peace and serenity prevailed.
“The Magic Door” symbolises that inner sanctuary- the imaginative, resilient space within our minds where a magic door exists, offering a momentary escape from pain and turmoil. I invite viewers to stand before this creation and reflect on their childhood- remembering what they endured, how they endured it, and recognising the strength they possess.
My hope is that this work also sparks inspiration for children currently facing anxiety and trauma, reminding them that there is always a way out. There is a magic door within us all- a guiding light towards healing, hope and peace.

All prints are framed and mounted. A mount creates a window around the print. The mount is an acid free cardboard with a cut bevelled edge nearest the print. The print and mount is framed in a black wooden frame. The print is ready to hang.
